Representative Marian Cooksey

Welcome to mariancooksey.net. I’m delighted you are visiting the online office of Oklahoma House of Representatives District 39. Since November of 2004, it has been my extraordinary honor to represent more than 35,000 citizens of Edmond and northwest Oklahoma County at the State Capitol.

Edmond is blessed with dynamic and outstanding municipal, educational, medical and spiritual professionals who create a quality of life that serves to attract and keep new businesses and residents. The vitality of a community and its economic health are directly related to the caliber of jobs available.

The University of Central Oklahoma has a profound impact on Edmond. The Forensic Science Program and the new lab have added another layer of specialized education unique to UCO and Edmond. In addition, UCO is scholastically ranked among the highest in Oklahoma.

Our community is known for its excellent schools (including several elementary schools that proudly claim the title of “Great Expectations School,”), quality homes (not only suburban neighborhoods, but attractive acreages), and a true sense of community.

On this web site I hope to be able to inform my constituents of current state government proceedings and help to create an awareness of the issues that are of the greatest interest to the citizens of House District 39.
